Purpose
This report seeks
approval to award a contract to Partnering Regeneration Development
Ltd (PRD), with Newbridge Advisors as subcontractors, to deliver an
independent evidence base for a newly established Camden Housing
Taskforce.
The evidence base
will assess the impact of housing development in Camden over the
past decade and model potential future outcomes under different
housing scenarios. It will draw on both quantitative and
qualitative data and resident-led qualitative insight and inform
the Taskforce’s work in shaping Camden’s long-term
housing strategy.
The Taskforce is a
new expert advisory group that will bring together internal and
external experts to consider the evidence, explore future delivery
options, and co-develop practical recommendations.
Following a
competitive procurement process, PRD & Newbridge were
identified as the preferred supplier based on their strong
methodological approach, with relevant local experience, and value
for money. The contract will be delivered from August 2025 to
February 2026.
This commission
aims to strengthen the Council’s ability to make evidence-led
decisions on future housing delivery, support meaningful resident
engagement, and ensure Camden’s housing strategy remains
ambitious, inclusive, and response to need.
