Purpose

To consider the
Hatton Garden request for a Business Improvement District renewal
ballot in January 2026 to seek a new five-year term.

Consideration was
given to a report of the Director of Economy,
Regeneration & Investment.
 
DECISION –
 
THAT the Cabinet
Member for Jobs, Young People and
Culture: 

i)           
Approves the Hatton Garden’s Business Improvement
District proposal for a renewal ballot for a five-year term from
2026 - 2031;
 

ii)           
Requests the Chief Executive, as the Council’s
Returning Officer and ballot holder, to hold a ballot for the
Hatton Garden Business Improvement District renewal proposal;
and
 

iii)           
Delegates authority to the Director of Economy, Regeneration
and Investment, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Jobs, Young People and Culture, to enter into the necessary legal
agreements for collection of the BID Levy. In addition, to deal
with related service specifications for all other connected
services which the Council is required to deliver throughout the
BID’s term and any other necessary legal matters in respect
of the Hatton Garden Business Improvement District proposal as
instructed and in consultation with the appropriate
officers.
