Purpose

This report outlines details of the Council’s proposal to convert 6.6 metres (m) of resident permit holders only parking to a dedicated disabled bay outside 55 Upper Park Road, NW3 and is being sent to the Chief Engineer to seek approval for its implementation as part of your remit.

This follows a request from a resident who met the eligibility criteria for a dedicated disabled bay to park close to their home.

The proposal meets the aims of We Make Camden by improving the quality of life of disabled residents who require access to a vehicle, by enabling them to live independent and active lives in the local community.

Decision

THAT the installation of a dedicated disabled bay outside No 55 Upper Park Road, NW3, be approved subject to compliance with relevant statutory requirements and detailed design.
