Purpose

This report seeks approval of the Procurement Strategy and Award of contract for the purchase of 7 Electric Vehicles for the Camden Repairs team.

The contract hire agreements for the existing vehicles with Limesquare Vehicle Rental have now expired and there are no suitable vehicles available within the current fleet that could be used. Following a review of available options, the recommendation is to source 7 Electric Vans by purchasing the vehicles via a Direct Award process through the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Purchase of Standard and Specialist Vehicles Framework Agreement.

The vehicles will be delivered from Toyota (GB) PLC, for a total cost of £227,651.26 (excluding VAT).

The purchase of the vehicles will be funded by the Section 106 fund, with Fleet Services managing all maintenance and operational activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The Procurement Strategy and Contract Award report is being presented to the Director of Environment and Sustainability for approval in line with Contract Standing Orders.
