Purpose

This report outlines the proposed procurement strategy for the procurement of works contracts to deliver Package B, Hadley Street, Castle Road Estate of the New Homes for Small Sites Programme (NHSSP).

This follows the Cabinet decision from 22 February 2023 and outlines the preferred approach to delivery and key milestones with associated deadlines.

Following the procurement process described in this report, a further report will be submitted prior to contract award.

The decision presented in this report to the Executive Director Investment, Place and Opportunity is in line with the Cabinet delegation authorised in the 22 February 2023 Cabinet decision (SC/2023/29).

Decision

THAT, following consultation with the Executive Director Corporate Services, the Cabinet Member for New Homes and Community Investment, the Cabinet Member for Finance and Cost of Living, the Cabinet Member for Better Homes and Homelessness Prevention, the Director of Development, Head of Property and Borough Solicitor:

(i) The procurement strategy for the New Homes for Small Sites Programme Package B, Hadley Street, that being to invite tenders using a competitive flexible procedure under the Procurement Act 2023, for an estimated value of £8.98m, be approved; and.

(ii) It be noted that a further contract award report will be submitted in due course subject to the successful completion of the tenders.
