Purpose

This report seeks approval for the extension of the Mental
Health Resilience Network (MHRN) Alliance contract for a further
year, permissible within the current contract.
 
The Alliance is made up of four providers; The Advocacy Project,
Mind in Camden, Likewise and Voiceability, who work
alongside commissioners to deliver the MHRN. The MHRN is a suite of
services for people experiencing mental distress, whose needs do
not meet the thresholds for statutory services.
 
The current contract which started on 1st April 2022 was awarded
for an initial term of two years with the option to extend the
contract for an additional 12 months. The initial two year contract
period is due to expire on 31 March 2024 and officers are therefore
seeks approval to extend the contract for a further 12 months for a
total cost of £907,387. This funding for the service is split
between the Integrated Care Board which contributes £547,387
and the Council which contributes £360,000.
 
This report is being presented to the Executive Director, Adults
and Health for approval in accordance with the Council’s
Contract Standing Orders.
