Purpose
This report seeks approval, following public consultation
to:
Construct four new raingardens which will help alleviate
pressure from the existing drainage network, providing groundwater
to attenuate into the ground.
Upgrade an existing zebra crossing to a parallel crossing
including continuous footways which would aid and improve
pedestrian and cycling priority across both Priory Road and Kilburn
Priory, and install a new southbound cycle contra flow facility
along Priory Terrace.
The scheme also proposes to extend parking restrictions on
Belsize Road to improve road safety, visibility, and bus
reliability and make permanent the temporary zebra crossing at the
junction of Priory Terrace and Belsize Road.
The proposals would meet the objectives of We Make Camden by
improving biodiversity, reducing the impacts of flooding, and
responding to the impacts of climate change. These proposals will
also improve cycle safety and help improve bus reliability.
