Purpose

This report summarises the Traffic Management Order (TMO)
consultation undertaken between 7 September 2023 and 28 September
2023, on proposals to include 7 additional streets into the CA-X
Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), and specifically objections to that
consultation.
 
Following public consultation, a Cabinet Member Decision was
made by the Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden, on 21
September 2022 to include, on a permanent basis, 7 streets
(Rossendale Way, Blakeney Close, Bergholt Mews,
Weavers Way, Ploughmans Close, Crofters Way and
Reapers Close) into the CA-X CPZ which were originally omitted from
the traffic order. The decision report also included approval to
proceed to ETO on the introduction of Saturday controls in the zone
on a trial basis and consideration of the cycle hangar and electric
vehicle charge point requests received through the
consultation.
 
This report outlines the background, proposals, TMO consultation
responses and officer response.

THAT the Director of Environment and Sustainability, having
considered the proposals in relation to the objectives set out in
the Camden Transport Strategy and consultation responses (including
objections) and having due regard to the needs set out in section
149 of the Equality Act 2010, approves the proposal to proceed with
the introduction of streets into the CA-X CPZ as per the TMO
consultation undertaken between 7 September 2023 and 28 September
2023.
