Purpose

This report recommends the contract award to
MoreLife (UK) Ltd whose tender has been successful in
meeting the quality criteria identified for the delivery of a Tier
2 Behavioural Adult Weight Management Service for
Camden and Islington.
 
The objectives of the service are to:

·      
Promote and support weight loss, or prevent further excess
weight gain, among service users living with overweight or
obesity.

·      
Support service users to achieve the Chief Medical
Officer’s physical activity recommendations and reduce
sedentary behaviour.

·      
Support service users to develop healthier eating habits and
learn about healthy balanced meals.

·      
Support service users to develop strategies and
self-regulatory skills to overcome challenges and self-manage
weight maintenance goals.
·       
Provide a flexible offer which is service user led,
individualised and culturally competent.
 
The contract will commence on or around 7th
November 2022 (primary contract of 3 years with option to extend
for further 2 years)
 
The
procurement process was run by Camden for one
contract across both boroughs.
Six
providers expressed their interest to participate in the tender
process and only two responded with complete and compliant
bids.
 
Procurement supports the award of the contract to the
recommended tenderer MoreLife UK as it
complies with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders and the
Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Value for money
has been achieved by ensuring the delivery of Tier 2 Adult Weight
Management for Camden and Islington within the set budget
limits
 
This report is being submitted to the Director Public
Health in line with Contract Standing Order C3.4 and includes a
Part II appendix which contains commercially sensitive information
relating to the tender evaluation.

of the contract to MoreLife (UK) Ltd for a period of three (3)
years (including two (2) yearscontract extensions of
one (1) year each) for the sum of £199,994 per annum
(£999,970 in aggregate including contract extensions) split
