Purpose

This report requests the Director of Environment &
Sustainability to approve the processing of a stopping up order
(permanent road closure).
 
 

Content

THAT the Director of Environment & Sustainability:

•        
Notes the report and the highway authority’s comments

•        
Agrees to the Council entering into an agreement with the developer
to ensure that rights of access are provided in perpetuity as
stated in paragraph 17.21 of the planning committee report and
paragraph 2.16 of the Section 106 agreement.

•        
Amends the scope of work identified in S106 agreement to include
the construction of the layby / drop off area.

•        
Subject to the agreements above being signed: approves and agrees
the construction of the layby / drop off area.

•        
Agrees to the making of traffic order for “ambulance
bays”.

•        
Agrees to the making of a traffic order for “no waiting and
loading restrictions”.

•        
Agrees to the design and construction of a cycle lane that
complements the layby / drop of area.

•        
Agrees to the adoption of the land shown in pink on the drawing
60588325-SU- 001 Rev C and, the area shaded green.
