Purpose
To take a decision on whether to implement permanent road
safety and public realm improvement measures in the
Crowndale Road area, including cycle infrastructure
and bus stop improvements, following a public
consultation.
Content
Consideration was given to a
report of the Director of Environment and Sustainability.
DECISION
–
THAT having considered the
proposals in relation to the objectives set out in Camden’s
Transport Strategy, the design amendments made in response to
feedback received in the public consultation, the public
Consultation Summary Report (Appendix A), the Equality Impact
Assessment (Appendix B), and having had due regard to the needs set
out in section 149 of the Equality Act (2010) the Cabinet Member
for a Sustainable Camden agrees to:
i)
Approve the proposal to implement permanent changes in the
Crowndale Road area, and the design amendments that
were made in response to feedback received in the public
consultation, subject to compliance with relevant statutory
requirements;
ii)
Delegate authority to the Chief Engineer to take any further
decisions relating to the detailed design and implementation of the
scheme; and
iii)
Delegate authority to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for a
Sustainable Camden, to take any further decisions required to
deliver the scheme beyond the proposals approved in this
report.
