Purpose

This report recommends the award of a contract for the supply of
workwear, uniforms, footwear, protective gear and equipment.
 
The main users of the contract are Estates Management. However,
several other services (up to 60) also access the contract.
 
The procurement strategy made use of Procurement Policy Notice
(PPN) 11/20, which allows contracts that are below the public
procurement thresholds in value to be restricted to local suppliers
and was applied in this procurement.
 
The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the option
to extend for up to a further six months. The contract value will
be capped at £170,000.

THAT the Director of Housing agrees the award of the contract to
Ben Nevis Clothing for a period of 1 year (with the option to
extend by up to 6 months) for the estimated sum of £120,000
per annum (the contract value, including extensions, will be capped
at £177,000).
