Purpose
This report outlines the
procurement strategy for the purchase of unattended traffic
enforcement cameras and associated services.
The aim of this contract is to
continue work being undertaken to deliver objectives of the Camden
Transport Strategy and Camden Plan around sustainability, promoting
healthy modes of transport, advancing road safety, and compliance
of traffic regulations by drivers. These cameras
will integrate into our existing CCTV system and software and will
be used in the delivery of a traffic schemes around Camden under
established programmes such as Healthy School Streets, Low Traffic
Neighbourhoods and cycle permeability schemes.
The
recommended option is to procure a contract using the Crown
Commercial Service (CCS) Transport Technologies and Associated
Services (TTAS) Lot 2: Transport And Pedestrian Control framework
agreement, on a no fixed term contract (until all cameras are
delivered), for the total value of up to £650,000 from Q3/Q4
2023.

Agrees the procurement strategy, which includes a price /
quality split of 50/50 and an estimated spend of £650,000,
with a contract term which allows for all cameras in scope to be
implemented.

It is recommended that in order to obtain economies of scale
in terms of pricing, that the statement of requirements includes
consolidated requirements (see 1.2 of body of report)
