Purpose

This report seeks approval to undertake for the re-commissioning
the Community Partnership Advisory Service (CPAS).
 
Community Partnership Advisory Service (CPAS) is currently
delivered by Voluntary Action Camden (VAC), who work with
grassroots voluntary sector organisations, community centres,
supplementary schools and those supporting minority, ethnic and
marginalised groups in Camden to improve the Council’s
ability to safeguard children. The service has been successful in
ensuring small and marginalised community organisations are trained
and assisted in developing their understanding of their
responsibilities regarding safeguarding children.
 
The current contract is due to expire on 31 March 2024. The
recommendation is to undertake procurement to award a contract for
an initial period of three (3) years for with the option of two
extensions of two years from April 2027 (3+2+2). The projected
annual cost for the service will be £50,429 with a contract
value of £152,000 (maximum value of £353,000 including
extensions).
 
The procurement strategy report will subsequently be presented
to the Director of Health and Wellbeing for approval in line with
Contract Standing Orders.
 
 
 

Content

THAT the Director for Health and Wellbeing approves the
procurement strategy, which includes a price/quality split of 60/40
and contract term of three (3) years plus two (2) extensions of two
(2) year’s each for an estimated aggregate value of
£152,000 (up to a maximum value of £353,000 including
extensions).
