Purpose

This report is to approve the procurement strategy for a new
tree planting contract. This contract will include the location,
planting and maintenance of at least 250 new trees in line with the
Council’s Tree Planting Strategy. The value of the contract
will be £240,000. It is our intention to procure the contract
by early July in order to have enough time for the contractor to
survey and locate the new trees within the borough before the next
planting season (Autumn 23-Spring 24). The contract will be
procured via open tender.

Content

THAT the Director of Recreation agrees the procurement strategy,
as set out in this report, for an estimated aggregate value
(including extensions) of £240,000. The contract will
commence in August for a 16 months period.
