Full council record
Purpose
This report summarises the procurement strategy for the delivery
of public awareness campaign media buying as part of the
Defra-funded ‘London Wood Burning Project’, which
Camden is leading in partnership with LB Islington and on behalf of
a consortium of 14 other London local authorities.
This work will be procured through a Request for Quotes
(RfQ) process and the total value of the contract will
be capped at £100,000, with all costs covered by grant
funding which has already been secured and paid from the Defra Air
Quality Grant Scheme 21/22 (currently available for spending in
G12625-Air Quality) and cash match contributions from boroughs
participating in the Project. There will be no direct cost to the
London Borough of Camden other than the staff time involved in
managing the contract.
The contract shall start in September 2023 and the work shall
continue until end of March 2024 (although the significant majority
of the work will be completed by the end of December 2023).
The proposed procurement route is to obtain a minimum of three
quotes for this work, in order to secure best value and highest
quality in service delivery.
This report is going to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability.
Content
THAT the Director of Environment and Sustainability agrees the
three-quotes procurement strategy, as set out in this report, for
