Purpose

This report outlines the proposed procurement strategy to
appoint design teams and supporting consultants to deliver the 5
sites identified in the February 2023 Cabinet Report, in line with
the recommendations.
 
As part of this strategy Core Multi-disciplinary design teams
will be procured through the GLA’s Architectural &
Urbanism (A&U) Framework to deliver a
planning permission and delivery requirements for
the 4 general needs sites; along with additional technical and
specialist consultants procured directly by Camden.
 
For the supported 6-unit housing scheme - due to the scale and
the specialist nature of the build requirements, a separate design
team will be procured, with an architect with specialist experience
appointed.
 
 

Content

THAT the Executive Director Supporting Communities, in
consultation with the Executive Director Corporate Services, the
Cabinet Member for New Homes, Jobs and Community Investment, the
Cabinet Member for Finance and Cost of Living, the Cabinet Member
for Better Homes, Head of Property and Borough Solicitor:
 
      
i.         
Agrees the procurement approach for 4 sites using the GLA
A&U Framework/Lot 7 – Small Sites, plus
additional specialist and technical consultants, to deliver a
planning permission (and potentially be retained through to the
build of the schemes) and to support Camden officers.
 
     
ii.         
Agrees the procurement approach for a specialist design team to be
appointed for the supported housing proposal at Spencer Rise
