Purpose

This report requests the Director of Environment &
Sustainability to approve the processing of a stopping up order
(permanent road closure).

Content

THAT the Director of Environment &
Sustainability:
 

1.   
Notes the report;

2.   
Approves the advertising of the draft stopping up order for public
consultation to stop up the rear of the footway in St. Pancras Way
outside of 2-6 St Pancras Way as shown on the plan in Appendix
1;

3.   
Approves the proposed adoption of the land belonging to the 2-6 St
Pancras Way as shown on the plan in Appendix 1;

4.   
Approves the order to be made and final advertisement should no
objections be received, or all objections being withdrawn;

5.   
Agrees that if objections are received, which are not withdrawn,
the Mayor of London should be notified so a decision on whether to
hold a public inquiry can be made, as required by legislation,
should the applicant wish to proceed with the stopping up
order;

6.   
Agrees that if a public inquiry is required by the Mayor of London,
it can be arranged and undertaken; and

7.   
Agrees that if the Mayor of London allows for the order to be made
without a public inquiry, the order can be made.
