Purpose
To consider the consultation responses to the Haverstock Hill
and Rosslyn Hill Walking, Cycling and Road Safety scheme, giving
due regard to policy context, relevant data and information.

HAVERSTOCK
HILL AND ROSSLYN HILL WALKING, CYCLING AND ROAD SAFETY PROPOSALS
(SC/2023/23)
Consideration was given to a
report of the Director of Environment and Sustainability.
DECISION –
THAT the Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden, having
considered the proposals in relation to the objectives set out in
the Camden Transport Strategy, the public Consultation Summary
Report (Appendix B), the Equality Impact Assessment (Appendix C),
the Strategic Policy Alignment (Appendix G) and having had due
regard to the needs set out in section 149 of the Equality Act
2010:
(i)
Approves the proposals to make the trial Haverstock Hill and
Rosslyn Hill Walking, Cycling and Road Safety scheme permanent, and
the implementation of the proposed additional measures, as set out
in Section 2, subject to compliance with relevant statutory
requirements;
(ii)
Delegates authority to the Chief Engineer the authority to
take any further decisions relating to the detailed design and
implementation of the approved
scheme;
(iii)
Delegates authority to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for a
Sustainable Camden, to take any further decisions, subject to any
further relevant consultations as required, for any further changes
to the scheme beyond the proposals approved in this report;
and
(iv)
Agrees that the above decisions be exempt from call-in, as
agreed by the Chair of the Culture and Environment Scrutiny
Committee, for the reasons set out at paragraphs 1.12 – 1.13
of the report.
