Purpose

In 2021 Camden established the £1.92 million Community
Impacts Resilience Fund, committing to using existing revenue
budget and a draw down from reserves of up to £880,000.00
(Appendix 1). The fund was established to support the resilience of
the borough’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in
response to the impact of COVID-19.
 
In March 2023 £811,706.00 of funding was allocated to 34
organisations in the second round of the Council’s Community
Impact Resilience Fund.
 
A further 9 organisations whose applications were recommended in
principle, pending further details. These organisations were asked
to submit a second stage application. 7 organisations responded to
the request, with 3 recommended for Community Impact Resilience
Fund, and the remaining 4 awarded Organisational Development
Fund. 
 
This report sets out the final recommendations for funding for
these second stage applications, for a total of £88,880.70.
This further recommendation of £88,880.70 will mean that a
total of  £900,586.70 funding
has been allocated for Round 2 of the Resilience
Fund. 
 
The ‘Camden Community Impacts-Resilience Fund
Report’, approved in October 2021, stated that the final
decisions on allocation of grants should be made under delegated
authority by the Director of Community Services.

THAT the Director of Equalities & Community Strength, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Voluntary Sector,
Equalities and Cohesion agrees the individual award allocations for
the 7 stage 2 applications set out in Appendix 2 from the Community
Impact Resilience Fund, amounting to a total of
£88,880.70.
