Purpose

This report seeks approval for Camden to extend its participation in the existing Pan-London Sexual Health eService Inter Authority Agreement for a further 12 months. The extension is required to maintain service continuity while a procurement challenge to the new contract is considered by the NHS Independent Patient Choice and Procurement Panel. The estimated value of Camden’s activity-based contract for the extension period is £650,000. 

In accordance with Contract Standing Order E2.1, the Executive Director Adults and Health can authorise contract variations outside the standard terms. However, implementing these variations requires approval of a waiver by the relevant Cabinet Member in line with Contract Standing Order F3.The waiver is required as this extension sits outside the original contract extension terms.  

Decision

THAT the Executive Director Adults & Health:  

1. Notes the position of the current process led by the City of London.  
2. Notes the performance of the contract.   
3. Approves a 12-month extension to the current IAA in order for Camden’s continued participation in the recommissioning of the Pan-London Sexual Health e-Services.   
4. Approves a variation to extend the current Pan-London Sexual Health e-Services contract with PreventX Limited for a period of 12 months from 15 August 2026 for the sum of £650,000.  
5. Notes that the implementation of the decision is dependent on a waiver to be agreed by the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing (AH/2026/14)
