Purpose
To consider a procurement strategy to appoint contractors that
will deliver complex responsive repairs to Housing Revenue Account
Homes.

Consideration was given to a
report of the Executive Director Supporting Communities.
DECISION
–
Having due regard to the
equalities impact assessment (Appendix 1 of the report),
and the obligations in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010, the
Cabinet Member for Better Homes is asked:
i)
To approve, in consultation
with the Executive Director Supporting Communities, the procurement
strategies for three contracts (one for Essential Damp and Mould,
one for Essential Health and Safety concerns and
one for General Building Repairs) for the provision of Complex
Responsive repairs across the whole Borough,
each contract to be for 2 years with an option to extend by 1
additional year through a recognised Framework under
Regulation 28 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 based on 60%
on price and 40% on service delivery and quality assessment
including 10% social value; and
ii)
To delegate authority for each
contract award in accordance with the approved procurement strategy
to the Executive Director Supporting Communities in consultation
with the Cabinet Member for Better Homes and the Executive Director
Corporate Services.
