Purpose
To consider the approval of public realm improvements on
Whitfield Street, Howland Street and Tottenham Mews.

Consideration was given to a report of the Director of
Environment and Sustainability.
DECISION –
THAT having considered the proposals in relation to the
objectives set out in Camden’s Transport Strategy, the design
amendments made in response to feedback received in the public
consultation, the Equality Impact Assessment (Appendix A), the
public Consultation Summary Report (Appendix B), and having had due
regard to the needs set out in section 149 of the Equality Act
(2010), the Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden agrees
to:
i)
Approve the proposal to implement permanent Safe &
Healthy Streets changes in the Fitzrovia area, including design
amendments that were made in response to feedback received through
the public consultation, subject to compliance with relevant
statutory requirements;
ii)
Delegate authority to the Chief Engineer to take any further
decisions relating to the detailed design and implementation
elements of the scheme; and
iii)
Delegate authority to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for a
Sustainable Camden, to take any further decisions required to
deliver the scheme beyond the proposals approved in this
report.
