Purpose

This report seeks approval to
appoint 25 suppliers onto the Adult Education and
Training Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV) which is split into 4
Lots:
 

·        
Lot 1: Employment and Skills programmes focused on
disadvantaged residents furthest from the labour market in Camden
settings;

·        
Lot 2: Programmes that promote employment in the Health and
Social Care Sector, Hospitality and Retail, Construction/Green
Skills and STEAM (Scientific, Technical, Engineering, Arts and
Medical;

·        
Lot 3: Programmes that promote employability for Care
experienced young people; and

·        
Lot 4: Programmes that support employability for candidates
with SEND.

 
Camden’s Adult Community
Learning (ACL) led on this project and will jointly fund with
Inclusive Economy. The DPV will be funded by two main funding
streams; the Greater London Authority for ACL and the Section 106
funding for Inclusive Economy. 
 
The services commissioned via the
DPV will be a range of specialised interventions in employment
sectors such as health, social care, hospitality, retail,
construction, STEAM aimed at Camden residents facing issues of
disadvantage and disproportionality, care experienced young people
and residents with special educational needs.
 
Following the procurement
process, officers are proposing to appoint 25 suppliers to the DPV.
The DPV will commence in August 2024 for a period of 4 years for an
estimated value of £597,000 of which £397,000 is for
ACL and £200,00 for Inclusive Economy. 
Applicants bidding for contracts in each Lot will compete on price
and quality. There will be no guaranteed offer of a contract as a
result of joining the DPV.
 
This report is being presented to Director of Education
and Inclusion for approval in line with Contract Standing
Orders.
