Purpose

To consider implementing bus priority and pedestrian
safety improvements on Parkway and the southern end of Kentish Town
Road, including bus lanes, parking amendments, and new pedestrian
crossings.

Consideration was given to a report of the Director of
Environment and Sustainability.
 
DECISION –
 
THAT, having considered the rationale and criteria for the
proposals in this report, having due regard to the needs set out in
section 149 of the Equality Act 2010, and subject to compliance
with relevant statutory requirements and detailed design, the
Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden:
 

     
i)        
Approves the bus priority and pedestrian safety proposals in the
Camden Town area, as summarised in Section 2 of this report;
and

    
ii)        
Delegates to the Chief Engineer the authority to take any further
decisions required for the implementation of the recommended
proposals.

For the reasons set out in the report.
