Purpose
Following a public consultation seeking stakeholder views on the
current hours of control in CA-L Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), a
decision was made by the Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden
(subject to a number of factors including compliance with statutory
processes), on 1 November 2023 to extend the weekday hours of
control in CA-L Inner subzone from 9:00 -11:00 to 08:30
–18:30 on a permanent basis. The decision also included
consideration of the cycle hangar and electric vehicle charge point
requests received through the consultation.
This report provides a summary of the Traffic Management Order
(TMO) consultation undertaken between 15 February 2024 and 8 March
2024, on the proposals to extend the controlled hours of operation
of CA-L Inner subzone. It also seeks approval to
implement the longer controls.

That the Director of Environment and Sustainability, having
considered the proposals in relation to the objectives set out in
the Camden Transport Strategy and consultation responses (including
objections), and having due regard to the needs set out in section
149 of the Equality Act 2010, and in compliance with statutory
processes, approves the proposal to proceed with the extension of
the weekday hours of operation of parking controls in the CA-L
Inner subzone from 9:00 -11:00 to 08:30 –18:30 as per the TMO
consultation undertaken between 15 Feb 2024 and 8 March 2024.
