Purpose

This report seeks approval of a
variation to the contract for Camden’s Adult Substance Misuse
Treatment and Recovery Service. The contract was awarded in
November 2022 to Change Grow Live (CGL) Services Ltd and began on
1st April 2023.
 
In February 2024, Camden were
notified, by the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities
(OHID), that their Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant
(RSDATG) allocation for 2024/25 would be
£481,000.  £60,000 of this amount
must be used to fund residential rehabilitation and in-patient
detox treatment for people experiencing
homelessness.  As part of their contract, CGL are
required to manage the process for funding and arranging
rehabilitation and detox placements for Camden residents,
allocating the additional funding will allow more people to access
residential treatment.
 
This report seeks to allocate a
further £60,000 to CGL to fund residential rehabilitation and
in-patient detox treatment for people experiencing
homelessness.  The variation will end on 31 March
2025.
 
This report is being presented to the
Director of Health and Wellbeing for approval in
line with Contract Standing Order E1.

reflect a further increase in the contract price for 2024/25 by
£60,000 to reflect the funding available from the Rough
Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant
