Purpose

This report seeks to agree the proposed contract award of the
Advocacy, Independent Visitor and Independent Person Services for
Children and Young People.
 
All three service elements (Advocacy, Independent Visitor and
Independent Person) will be delivered to support children and young
people who may be involved in a representation or a complaint about
children’s social care services.
 
The service will provide independent and confidential
information and advice within a legal framework in line with the
duty of care that Camden has for children and young people.
 
Following a competitive procurement process, officers are
proposing to award a contract to Action for Children for a contract
length of 36 months commencing on or around 05 August 2024. The
proposed annual cost for each year is £79,896.01 with the
combined total cost of £239,688.03 over 36 months.
