Purpose

This report summarises the procurement strategy for the delivery
of public awareness campaign media buying as part of the
Mayor’s Air Quality Fund (MAQF) ‘Idling Action London
Project’ 2024-2027. The project is funded by Transport for
London (TfL) and the Greater London Authority (GLA). Camden is
co-leading this project in partnership with LB Hounslow on behalf
of a consortium of 19 other London local authorities.

This work will be procured through a Request for Quotes (RfQ)
process and the total value of the contract will be capped at
£150,000, with all costs covered by grant funding which has
already been awarded and will be paid from the Mayor’s Air
Quality Fund (MAQF) 24/27. All spending will be charged to
G12625-Air Quality and will be balanced off against disbursed funds
for the Idling Action London Project from the MAQF. There will be
no direct cost to the London Borough of Camden other than the staff
time involved in managing the contract.

The media buying contract shall start in October 2024 and the
work shall continue until end of June 2026. The proposed
procurement route is to obtain a minimum of three quotes for this
work, to secure best value and highest quality in service
delivery.

This report is going to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability.
