Purpose

The current contract to provide Occupational Health and related
services to staff ends on 31 October 2024.
 
The Occupational Health Service (OHS) primarily provides support
to Camden Managers (including schools) for the provision of health
services; pre-employment checks and for any medical issues that
relate to absence including whether any reasonable adjustments may
apply to a Camden employee in supporting return to work, including
someone’s fitness to work.
 
Following an assessment of various procurement frameworks which
it was decided that the most efficient framework was the Eastern
Shires Procurement Framework, Occupational Health Services, Lot
985B_23.
 
This report recommends that a Direct Award of contract is
awarded to the People Asset Management (PAM) Group Limited a for a
period of 2 years, plus two 12-month extensions (2+1+1) years for a
value of £440,000.
 
As a new supplier will be appointed, it is proposed that the
incumbent provider completes all support of existing cases and that
an implementation plan is drawn up to onboard the new provider who
have experience in provider this service to multiple public sector
organisations.
 
The combined procurement strategy and award report will
subsequently be presented to the Director of People and Inclusion,
Corporate Services, for approval in line with Contract Standing
Orders.
