Purpose

This report requests approval for the award of a contract for
the collection and disposal of sanitary and clinical waste from
Council facilities.
 
It is recommended to award the contract to Personal Hygiene
Services Ltd (trading as PHS PLC) for a period of 3 years, with the
option to extend by up to a further 1 year. The contract is
estimated at £175,212 over 4 years (including the 1-year
optional extension).

THAT the Director of Development to whom this report is
submitted agrees the award of the contract to Personal Hygiene
Services Ltd (trading as PHS PLC) for a period of 4 years
(including 1 contract extension of 1 year) for the estimated sum of
£43,803 per annum (£175,212 in aggregate including
contract extensions)
