Purpose
This report seeks approval of the procurement strategy for
Phase 2 ‘Fit Out’ of the Kings Cross Sports Centre/Q2
Building.
The works will be designed to Royal Institute of British
Architects (RIBA) Stage 4a and will be procured using a single
stage selective tendering procedure to a minimum of 5 pre-selected
specialist contractors as outlined in the body of the
report.
The works will be procured using a JCT Design and Build
2016 contract with Camden amendments.
The estimated contract value is £2.23 million over
an approximate build period of 4 to 6 months.

THAT the Executive Director of Supporting Communities following
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Voluntary Sector
Equalities and Cohesion approves:
1.
the procurement strategy for a competitive tender to a closed
tender list of a minimum of 7 contractors, using an evaluation
criterion of 65% price and 35% quality, for an estimated contract
value of £2.23 million over a period of between 4 to 6. The
contract is scheduled to start in the 4th Quarter of 2024.
2.
that the project proceeds to tender stage a report is presented to
the Council’s Procurement & Commissioning Board
recommending an award of contract.
