Purpose
This report seeks approval of the procurement strategy for
remodelling works at Talacre Community Sports Centre
(TCSC).
The works will be designed to RIBA Stage 4 and will be
procured using a single stage selective tendering procedure to a
minimum of 5 pre-selected specialist contractors as outlined in the
body of the report.
The works will be procured using a JCT Design and Build
2016 contract with Camden amendments.
The estimated contract value is £2.72 million over
an approximate build period of 9 months.

THAT the Executive Director of Supporting Communities, following
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Voluntary Sector
Equalities and Cohesion, approve:
1.
the procurement strategy for a competitive tender to a closed
tender list of 5 contractors, using an evaluation criterion of 65%
price and 35% quality, for an estimated contract value of
£2.720 million over a period of approximately 9 months. The
contract is scheduled to start in the 3rd Quarter of 2024.
2.
that the project proceeds to tender stage a report is presented to
the Council’s Procurement & Commissioning Board
recommending an award of contract.
