Purpose
This report describes the award of a contract for the
provision of Architecture Consultancy Services to IF_DO (IF Design
Office Ltd) for the refurbishment of 2 Prince of Wales Road to
become Kentish Town Neighbourhood Space.
Following an Expression of Interest (EOI) conducted
through Lot 5 (Civic, Cultural & Social Infrastructure) of the
Greater London Authority Architecture + Urbanism Framework, to
which ten architectural practices were invited to express interest
and then to tender, this report seeks approval to award the
contract to the most economically advantageous bid resulting from
the mini competition: IF_DO, following endorsement by the
Commissioning and Procurement Board.
The recommended bidder, IF_DO, will provide take the role
of Lead Design Consultant for the architectural design and
coordination of the Neighbourhood Space.
The proposed contract term will be for circa 30 months
(Royal Institute of British Architects Stage 2 to 6) with
instructions to proceed at each RIBA Stage. The contract would be
for a total value of £278,927.50.
