AGREED that approval be granted to commence Leaseholder Consultation in relation to window upgrades to domestic properties, prior to the issue of the invitation to tender and further to the strategy approved by Cabinet on 25 February 2021.
Reasons for the decision
In order to comply with the consultation requirements of s20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1984 the need to consult has been established. If consultation is not undertaken, the Council may not be able to recover from any leaseholder in any accounting period the total cost of their contribution for these works.
