Purpose
Fields in Trust is a registered charity that protects, supports and champions parks and green spaces. The charity works to protect parks, playing fields and open spaces in perpetuity through legal agreements with landowners most commonly the local authorities.
The Council currently has ten sites that it has entered into protection with the charity under agreements. These being Heath Park, Roath Recreation Ground, Moorland Park, Llanishen Park, Pontprennau Playing Fields, Pontcanna Field, Hywel Dda Open Space and Rumney Recreation Ground.
Through the proposed report the Council will be looking to put a further tranche of site, to be confirmed, in trust.
