Decision

In respect of an offer of forty nine thousand, four hundred and seventy four pounds (£49,474) from The Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner:

  • The Director of Community & Economic Development agrees the funding agreement with the Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner whereby a grant payment of £49,474 will be paid to the Council

·         The grant will enable the Council to implement interventions aimed at tackling neighbourhood crime, anti-social behaviour and violence against women and girls, improving the safety of public spaces for all

Reasons for the decision

The Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has been successful in securing Safer Streets 4 funding from the Home Office.

The funding has been allocated to CBC to deliver the following:

Night-time economy training in which Cheltenham CSP will commissioning an external training provider to run training around the themes of healthy relationships and consent. The training will include:

·         What do we mean by sexual violence

·         What’s the best way of handling incidents sexual violence in a licensed premise

·         Supporting victims in a trauma-informed way and managing perpetrators

·         Reporting and recording sexual violence incidents

·         How can we help create an environment that reduces opportunities for sexual violence

Target Hardening

·         Lighting scheme in Sandford Park, in which the plan is to install seven columns.

·         Regent Street CCTV Scheme- there is a black-spot in coverage and the CCTV will now cover.

CBC will be responsible for insurance and any ongoing maintenance and repairs of the cameras and the lighting.

Budget CCT001 will cover CCTV Line Rental

Budget OPS001 R2075 will cover maintenance
