The Thames Valley Police and Crime Panel is a regional body established under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. It scrutinises the work of the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner. The panel comprises one councillor from each of the 18 local authorities in the Thames Valley area, plus two co-opted members. Cherwell District Council appoints its representative, who is the Executive member for Safer Communities
, and a named substitute to the panel.
