To amend the Council’s
nominee to Cherwell Safer Communities Partnership, Oxfordshire
Combatting Drugs Partnership and Safer Oxfordshire Partnership,
following a change of Executive Portfolio Holders.

(1)           
That Councillor Rob Pattenden be appointed to the Cherwell Safer
Communities Partnership, Oxfordshire Combatting Drugs Partnership
and Safer Oxfordshire Partnership, to replace Councillor Robert
Parkinson

Reasons for the decision

Following Councillor Robert Parkinson’s
decision to stand down from the Executive, is it necessary to amend
the nominee to the following Outside Bodies:
 

Cherwell Safer Communities
Partnership
Oxfordshire Combatting Drugs
Partnership
Safer Oxfordshire Partnership

 
Appointments to these bodies is linked to the
Portfolio Holder, which is now Councillor Rob Pattenden.
 

Alternative options considered

The following alternative options have been
identified and rejected for the reasons as set out below.
 
Option 1: Not to amend the representatives to
the outside bodies. This is not recommended, as it would mean
Cherwell District Council is not represented on the bodies for the
remainder of the Municipal Year.
