Purpose

The decision is to
approve:
 
1. The installation of two
toucan crossings on Manchester Road, Wilmslow in accordance with
Section 23(1) of the Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The giving of public notice
of the proposed toucan crossings in accordance with Section 23 (2)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
 3.
The installation of the vertical deflection (a raised table) on
Dean Drive, Wilmslow in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways
Act 1980. 
4. The giving of public notice
of the proposed raised table in accordance with Section 90C of the
Highways Act 1980.
5. The introduction of shared
use footways / cycleways and cycle tracks on Manchester Road,
Wilmslow/Handforth in accordance with Section 65 and 66 of the
Highways Act 1980.
 
The above will take place in
accordance with the C24110-CEH-HGN-ZZ-DR-C-900001 Consultation
plan.
 
Should no objections be
received during the objection period, or where objections are made
and subsequently withdrawn, the proposed pedestrian crossing,
Raised Table, and shared use footways/cycleways and cycle tracks
will be implemented.
