Purpose

The Council is preparing a new local plan and embarking on an initial 'scoping consultation'.

To do this, publication of a 'Local Plan Timetable' and ‘Notice of Intention to Commence’ plan making was agreed by Cabinet at its meeting on 4 June 2026. 

Cabinet delegated approval of the final content and design of the Scoping Consultation documentation, including accompanying topic papers and other information, to the Executive Director of Place in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Planning, Regeneration and Housing.
