Cabinet Member for Economic Growth

The Cabinet Member for Economic Growth is responsible for making individual decisions on delegated matters related to the council's economic development and growth strategy, as outlined in the Council's Constitution.

Key areas of responsibility include developing and implementing growth and housing strategies, overseeing the delivery of major development sites such as Chesterfield Waterside and High Speed Rail 2, and promoting inward investment. This role also covers support for business start-ups and growth, management of the council's commercial and operational property assets, and oversight of the Local Plan, planning development and control, and conservation matters.
