About

The Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing makes individual decisions on delegated matters as outlined in the Council's Constitution. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the health and wellbeing strategy, aiming to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities within the community.

Key areas of responsibility include community outreach, grant allocation to voluntary organisations, management of sports facilities, parks, open spaces, and cemeteries. The Cabinet Member also oversees environmental health services, community safety, licensing, safeguarding, and waste collection and recycling services, contributing to the overall streetscene and building maintenance.
