1.  
That the forecast outturn position for the General Fund Revenue
Account for the financial year 2025/26 be noted.
 

2.  
That the strategy for achieving a managed underspend in relation to
the General Fund Revenue Account budget outturn position for the
financial year 2025/26 be supported.
 

3.  
That the General Fund Capital Programme expenditure forecast for
the financial year 2025/26 be noted.
 

4.  
That the position of the Housing Revenue Account Revenue budget at
the close of month five of the financial year 2025/26 be noted, and
also the action being taken to reduce the forecast deficit.
 

5.  
That the emerging Medium-Term Financial Plan forecast positions for
both the General Fund Revenue Account and the Housing Revenue
Account for the period 2026/27 to 2028/29 be noted.
 
REASONS FOR
DECISIONS
 

1.  
This periodic monitoring report summarises the
current assessment of the Council’s forecast outturn position
for the financial year 2025/26 in relation to the General Fund
Revenue Account and Housing Revenue Account. It also provides a
robust basis for medium term financial planning.
 

2.  
The report also provides an update on the current
status of the General Fund Capital Programme.
 

3.  
This is the second formal monitoring report for the
2025/26 financial year.
