*RESOLVED
–
That the Chesterfield Community
Safety Partnership Plan for 2025 – 2028 be noted and
endorsed.
REASONS FOR
DECISION
1.
The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 placed a duty on the police and
local authorities to work together with key partners and
organisations to develop and implement local crime-reduction plans.
In doing so the Partnership must inform the plan based on local
need and analysis of crime and disorder levels and patterns in the
area and have regard to the objectives set out in the local Police
and Crime Plan.
2.
The Chesterfield Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is responsible
for overseeing the development and implementation of an agreed
local Community Safety Partnership Plan. The partnership comprises
a wide range of organisations including Chesterfield Borough
Council (CBC), Derbyshire Constabulary, the Probation Service,
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Derbyshire County Council,
Public Health, plus a range of voluntary and community sector
organisations.
3.
The CSP monitors and reviews the delivery and performance of
projects and interventions contained in the Chesterfield Community
Safety Plan. It considers performance and outcomes
while addressing gaps in service delivery and undertaking any
required statutory duties. The CSP also identifies, shares and
helps secure resources and funding to support the Chesterfield
Community Safety Plan.
