Purpose
To enable the Council to distribute UKSPF
funds which have been allocated to a community grant and to ensure
that the outcomes of the programme as outlined in the Chesterfield
UKSPF Investment Plan are achieved.
To enable the Council to distribute the Neighbourhood portion of
CIL collected in line with regulations and the Council’s CIL
Infrastructure Delivery Plan.
The Joint Community Grants Fund arrangements (UKSPF and CIL
Neighbourhoods) were previously approved on 15.03.23 by Executive
Director, and Service Director - Leisure, Culture and Community
Wellbeing (in consultation with Leader and Service Director –
Finance).
Content
To offer community grants funding to the
following organisations following completion/assessment of the
first tranche of the community grants fund programme 2023/24:
• UKSPF Community Grant funding: 11 organisations receiving a
combined total of £39,519.85
• CIL Neighbourhoods fund: 5 organisations receiving a
combined total of £20,446.11
Alternative options considered
Alternative options were considered through a
CBC screening process, then by the Chesterfield Health and
Wellbeing Partnership’s Commissioning Panel, with
recommendations approved by CBC Service Director - Leisure, Culture
and Community Wellbeing.
