line with the investment plan. Specifically, this relates to the
delivery of grants to businesses which have received high
demand.

To approve moving £14,000 from UKSPF16
(Chesterfield Town Centre Business Support: Partnership and Data)
to UKSPF13 (Business Growth and Low Carbon).

Alternative options considered

Funding remains in UKSPF16 and the Council
claims an underspend. There is demand for the grants and a pipeline
of companies that have expressed interest. The grants will support
Chesterfield businesses to grow which will help support the local
economy and therefore is considered the most suitable option for
the underspend.

The grant scheme remains closed. There is currently funding
remaining in the project and demand for the grant. By reopening the
scheme it will ensure that the opportunity to provide grants to
businesses is maximised.
