About
The Cabinet is the executive arm of Chichester District Council, responsible for implementing policies approved by the Council and making key decisions. It manages the Council's finances, including budgets, reserves, and asset renewal programmes, and awards contracts. The Cabinet also oversees the production and review of the Local Plan, advises on health and safety, and makes recommendations on employment policies. It can act on behalf of the Council in urgent situations and is responsible for the Council's ICT strategy and public relations.
