About

The Public Facing Environment Panel advises the Chichester Cabinet on a range of environmental matters. It focuses on environmental protection, health protection, coastal defence, land drainage, and building control. The panel also considers biodiversity strategy, monitoring the Local Biodiversity Action Plan and the West Sussex Local Nature Recovery Strategy. It evaluates areas for carbon reduction to meet Net Zero targets, monitors the Climate Change Action Plan, and identifies funding for related initiatives. Additionally, the panel advises on the Air Quality Action Plan, waste strategy, and opportunities for partnership working.
