Reasons for recommendation
Papa Luigi’s is a family
run Italian restaurant for all ages with
a lively atmosphere. They are based on Wigan Road in Euxton are
applying for the for the Retail & Hospitality Grant which is on
offer for a limited period to a specific number of
businesses.

The grant money will go towards
costs of purchasing new dining furniture within the
restaurant.

The current furniture is tired
and dated and the introduction of increased tables and chairs will
increase the number of covers and hopefully boost trade
figures.

The knock-on effect will also
enable them to create more jobs which will hopefully be filled by
Chorley residents.

To award this grant to a
Business which is located outside the Town Centre, will benefit
both the Business and the Council as a whole.

Other
options considered and rejected
The alternative
option is not to pay the Grant. Without this Grant they would
likely defer the whole project, which would hold back the growth
potential of the Business. The knock-on effect of this is that the
opportunity to increase the number of covers into the Business
would be delayed and the plan to recruit more staff would also take
longer.
